    https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motor-shows/mg-ezs-electric-suv-go-sale-uk-autumn?page=2

An EV version of a car which has already been on sale in the UK for quite a while.
It looks like a cross of a Japanese and Korean small SUV but is a bit larger than most in the Juke/Captur class size.

The petrol versions are undercutting the competition in the UK by 20% roughly starting at £12,495 so I'd expect they'd be competitively priced as an EV too.

Petrol version comes with a 7 year 80,000 mile warranty.

What has been holding MG back in the UK market is poor engines and poor dealer network.

People looking for an EV will seek it out and replacing the poor petrol motors with electric drivetrain addresses the worst of its disadvantages.

The market disruption that EV brings to the world of motoring is China's opportunity to enter a product area they are not present in at the moment.

They're a class above Dacia. Not quite Korean.

Dacia is Renault. And I would say they are a class above what the Chinese company SAIC now is selling with the MG badge on it ;)

No, Dacia are conceived as a low cost car with a low component count which can be built using less automation on old amortised platforms. MG/Roewe are not.
Knowing you to be a bloke who values a hidden bargain I'd advise you to pay attention to developments here. The Chinese are willing to sell cars at no profit to establish market recognition. They will follow the same strategies as the Koreans have done and the Japanese before them; market competitive products, good quality(eventually), lower prices, long warranties and maybe a bit of guaranteed resale prices thrown in to sweeten the deal.

Oh I know. The Koreans are doing a better job at it than the Japanese ever did were it not for the might of the Chinese going to overwhelm us all...unless they land in political turmoil. Which someone in the know told me recently is quite likely to happen in the near future.

How can they have a guaranteed resale value for them do if they are of unknown quantity and don't even know if they would be able to sell it for what they say it might be worth after 3+ years etc?

Also MG are still not here just in the UK so hardly going to see any of these here even if they do sell.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

They just have to agree to either pay the difference or buy the car back from you at a guaranteed minimum price. Tesla had a similar deal for a few years. Quite clever really, unless the cars gets a dreadful rep then the guarantee almost ensures the secondhand values will stay above a threshold and they never have to pay out. Similar to the bank guarantee scheme!

A Chinese push into the EV market here with that type of body type in particular could gain serious traction IMO.
Ideal platform for school runs and city commutes.
