Bit of a long shot, but wifey is getting a new Diesel car, and she had always had petrol.
I'm concerned that she might misfuel.

So I'm thinking of getting a fuel Angel

I've used cars that have them installed and you wouldn't even notice it.

Now.. here's my ask.. has anyone here bought one.. and would they have a discount code/ voucher that I could use.

I can't see any issue with it, the rental I had in New Zealand in January had something similar (although it was not fitted correctly so I took it off). But it looks easy to install and remove so worth a shot.

I think some diesels have a built in equivalent of some sort so maybe just check before you spend extra money

What new car is she getting?

Most new diesels have a mis-fuel prevention system and it's a requirement for vehicles that have an AdBlue system.

You also need to see if it can fit in. My focus wouldn't be able to use anything like that. I'd expect most fords to have the same capless system now, for inserting the fuel nozzle.

Surely you can ask the dealership about what the car has to prevent miss fuelling? A lot of new cars might already have different sized inserts. Something like that fuel angel would be predominantly for old 2nd hand cars.

Your Ford already has the built in Mis-Fuel prevention system - been standard on Ford passenger cars for a decade or so at this stage.

Yes, they call it Easy-Fuel. It's very tidy.

Unless you've got a Focus in the garage with no fuel, that is blocking other cars you need to get out, and someone didn't put the special nozzle in the glovebox where it should be, to allow you to put some diesel from a can in to the car to start it, so you have to grab keys for all the other Fords to check if they have the special nozzle somewhere :(

Rare occurrence admittedly, but as you might have guessed, it's happened.

Yes, it's supposed to be in with the spare wheel kit. I noticed mine was missing shortly after I got the car, so I got one from a local main dealer, for the princely sum of €9. They had to send to Cologne for the damn thing. :pac::pac::pac:

On new cars it was in a plastic bag in the glovebox, next to the lock nut key. With most new cars not having the spare wheel, there's no where there to put it.
