    Hello,

I have a relation in full time employment who is has been diagnosed with v high blood pressure and a blood condition with high risk of heart attack. she has been advised by her GP to go on to part time employment, as the stress from full time hours is a big contributing factor.

My question : Is there an equivalent to partial capacity payment that can be applied for directly (without a history of illness benefit receipt). where the applicant is available for part time employment?

    any advice appreciated.

We’ve asked this question many times and the answer is different depending on who you speak to.
Currently being told that if you go down to part time hours through illness then you can apply for DA which is means tested so not ideal for everyone.
    That’s it though.
