Sink drain to main sewerage

So I'm in the middle of converting a sitting room to a new kitchen.

The only option I have for drainage for the sink is the main sewerage 4 inch pipe that runs underneath the room. I have the pipe exposed and ready to go.

I had to do this last year with a 4 inch to 4 inch Y piece. That was outside so I could dig out around the pipe a good bit. I can't really get at this pipe under the floor as much. The space would be very tight to get to get a new Y or T piece onto it. I was thinking of fitting the sink waste pipe directly into the 4 inch. Drill the hole and seal around the edges with waven weld and some sealant.

I know it's a bit of a hack job but would anyone have any other solutions? Thanks lads

What happens if it becomes blocked, can it be accessed?

There's an AJ just outside but the sink pipe be mostly underground. I have about 5ft to go horizontally to reach the sink anyway, all that will be be underground

You need something called a glue on saddle. Basically a section of 4" pipe with branch socket for 100mm or smaller 40mm/32mm insert. The 4" pipe is cut along its length just over halfway round so it clamps itself to the original pipe in the ground. You cut a hole in your soil pipe and glue the fitting over it to match the hole.

Thats perfect. I was thinking about cutting a traditional piece to that style aswell a few mins ago driving along haha.

I'll track down one of those so.

Ensure that the saddle is well sealed and that you fit a good trap on sink to avoid noxious lethal gases like methane escaping from the main sewer pipe.
if possible it would be safer to run ABS pipe from sink to outside into gulley or stack pipe.

Toilet connectors now come with sink waste boss incorporated so it is perfectly OK if the basin/sink trap is in place however an air admittance valve may be required depending on the pipe length/diameter to avoid drawing the trap.
