Form 12 question

    Hi all,

I completed my form 12 recently and I just want to make sure that I didn't miss any information in relation to tax credits & reliefs (section 2).

I changed job early last year and I didn't want to opt for a private health insurance as I availed of it with my previous employer without using it much.

Prior to changing my job last year I had the following tax credits & reliefs:

    Personal Tax Credit: €1,650.00
    Employee Tax Credit: €1,650.00
    Medical Insurance Relief: €1,000.00

Now since I opted out of the private health insurance I removed the Medical Insurance Relief completely and I only kept the personal and employee tax credits. Is this correct? thanks.

That sounds correct. You could be due relief on the amount of insurance available before you left the job though, which might be worth claiming as the P21 you are going to get is likely going to have an underpayment of approx €200.
