Illness benefit payment to bank

Hi. I recently applied for illness benefit andi a I am receving a weekly cheque in the post. I requested on the app form to have payments made directly to my bank quoted iban no etc. I have emailed social welfare asking to have bank payments but no reply. Why would they not have done this as requested?
