Forecast was for rain, no mention of heavy snow, hope everyone has enough bread and milk, Lidl will probably beef up security.

Anytime there's a severe weather warning someone starts a thread here complaining. Maybe RTE have finally gotten the message and decided to stop offending people by telling them about the weather.

Yes, the newspapers were right: snow was general all over Ireland. It was falling softly upon the Bog of Allen and, further westwards, softly falling into the dark mutinous Shannon waves. It was falling too upon every part of the lonely churchyard where Michael Furey lay buried.

I'm just after buying 20 loaves of bread and now it's stopped snowing. Pretty disappointed tbh.

Still bucketing down here. If it freezes then the trip to work in the morning will be tidy.

I thought there was a ban on snow after February past, of course that doesn't apply to last year, but if we ignore the snow it will go away.

Just back from Dunnes, where I unfortunately had to kick a pensioner to the ground to get the last sliced pan.
