Insurance renewal, not being offered full no claims protection?

    Hi all,

Last year I asked for your help with an incident I had where someone ran into my car that was parked legally at the time. The driver wouldn't admit liability so I had to claim off my comp insurance to get my car back on the road. Eventually it was settled with his insurance accepting full liability and my insurance policy recovering the full amount.

So now I'm trying to renew my insurance, my company hiked the price by 25% and when I shop around, because I've had a claim within the last 3 years, I'm not being offered full no claim bonus protection. Instead, I'm getting 1 to 2 year step back protection.

As my insurance was not out of pocket, is this right or fair?

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards

Just found out allianz never removed the claim from my policy so all the companies I called had access to this and were pretty much ignoring what I said about it not being my fault and full recovery etc.

Will get on to allianz on Monday to see what the story is.

Can I get this removed or nullified?

If it's a settled no fault claim it shouldn't and I emphasise shouldn't be an issue. But they need to have it recorded as same. I had a similar problem, they rectified it and recorded it correctly when I called them. Then we were better
