    Does anyone know if a panel is being created for this competition. Results came out today. Got order of merit but only one vacancy. Will there be more jobs from a panel created ... any info would be great

    Hi Ned, I ranked on this order of merit too. I assumed this is a panel. Not sure what the job situation is but there does seem to be a lot of recruitment happening. Best of luck.

    Hi... I think there is a panel. Apparently positions will be filled from it eventually. So you have done the great job of getting the interview and most importantly of being placed in order of merit. So well done. Just sit tight and hopefully you will get called ( got this info from someone who has been through the last competition) Fingers crossed!

    I heard 4 job offers have been made off this panel. Wonder where they will be located? Will all finance roles be in the NSSO eventually which looks to be located in Galway.

    Hi. I have not rang PAS about this panel. I assumed all the jobs would be in Dublin. Did you ring PAS about the panel? I thought there would be more jobs on offer at this stage!

    Yea, I rang them just to see. They said they were waiting on offers to be excepted and that 4 were made. They expect more departments to call but not sure how fast it will move. Hopefully it keeps moving.

    I am going to ring them this Friday - 4 weeks since results were out. Just to see where they are at. I believe the last panel (about 30 people) lasted only approx 10 months with everyone being offered a job. So I guess it’s just a matter of time. Did PAS tell you anything about where the jobs are?

    Good to hear all 30 were offered a job. pas never said where the jobs were.. like yourself I assuming they in Dublin but with the shared services being set up was wondering would they be offered for Galway and Tullamore as well.

    The application form did say they expect majority of jobs to be in Dublin. They can’t expect people in Dublin to be offered jobs in Galway or Tullamore. Because if they don’t accept the jobs then they are off the panel!! Don’t think that would be fair !
