    Can your accent be a marker as to where you hark from?

    Apparently yes indeed. There is a new accent survey by the New York Times that will pin your geographical origins down by the way you pronounce certain words and use other words to describe things.

    By origin they mean where you spent your formative years growing up, not necessarily the location where you were born.

    I tried it: it works! But you must be honest when answering the questionnaire.
