Muir racing now at 1500 and at 9.40 tonight at 3000....wtf?

Its a 3 day championship. There the breaks. Jacob ingeb had the same earlier

Had she nothing left or did she think she had qualified? There didn't seem to be a huge effort to get into the first two...

Looked a bit labored alright in the last 50..

The winner was dead at the end...

Compared to Muir in her race who looked fresh..

I know it’s 3 days. Just a lot to expect...1500 takes a lot out of you..

Not sure about all the participants, but there are likely “fresh” runners in the 3000 later than night...

Thats the way she runs, v efficiently , just because she isn"t flying her arms and legs around doesnt mean she is not putting the effort in.

It was more the eyes and facial strains that I was looking for. She did look very relaxed...possibly knew what the runners in the last heat were capable of.

A small q but 3rd fastest qualifier. The spainard had a pb, maybe she did know it was enough, last heat was terribly slow

Thays the way she runs. She would be a great poker player. She never looks stressed unitl she crosses the finish and then liable to be keeled over in a heap 5secs after stopping.

It's the way she always looks in the sprint whether she's running a 29 or a 32. I think people read into too much like last year at Europeans where everyone was saying she quit during the sprint and looked like she jogging it in despite her barely been able to do the interview after the race.

She probably won't be happy to be outkicked but I still fancy her for a medal if Muir pushes the pace in the final which she probably will.

Theres a handy 2nd or 3rd there for the taking. If Muir takes it on for the last 3 laps she shpuld get 2nd. If its slow the czexh and polish one will be dangerous

    Handy enough for english.

Classy run from M.English looks very good executed that heat well. There were stages when lads behind looked to make surges and he forced them back. Finally a strong performance.

Savage last 200m, she's a serious athlete. Very impressive stuff.

Unreal by Muir- especially after the 1500m earlier. That last lap was a thing of beauty!

Her face going around each lap, so focused and determined, didn’t show any signs of struggling. Impressive run, her last lap shows how powerful she is.

There’s no handy 2nd there. She won’t beat Ennaoui from Poland. No chance.

Bronze is a chance but she was in a bad way after the heats. Fortunately she has loads of recovery time.

    What happened to Ciara Neville?

    What happened to Ciara Neville?

Didn’t have the qualifying time during the window (7.40 Sb)

Didn’t have the qualifying time during the window (7.40 Sb)

Why was she listed in one of the heats as a DNS so?

That was obviously it, just took it she was a DNS seeing her name was mentioned.

Neville pulled out due to illness.

Why I was curious is that Jackon mentioned her name as a DNS - which if fair enough.

But her name was not listed at the time as a starter - which is why I was so curious about it.

Anyway, she must have withdrawn due to illness and the start list updated.

    No conspiracy here!

Very disappointing to see Scott not making the semi.

Looking forward to the men's 3k. Expecting a good battle for the silver and bronze. Who will jakob Ingebregson out kick with 4 laps to go for gold.
