    Hi there,

I'm looking for suggestions as to how to get rid of pair of very nice Platinum Lounge tickets that were bought in error for Grand National 'Thursday' instead of the Saturday. I know I'll have to move them on at a loss. I will be putting them up on Adverts, but if anyone has any suggestion where they might get a better reach with racing fans, I'd be grateful.

    Mods please delete if inappropriate.

    Thanks

    Dakar

Have you tried contacting the Jockey Club for a refund and explained that it was an error and asked to switch them to Saturday.

I did. No joy, unfortunately. I spoke to the ticketing office phone staff, and their supervisor, and tried emailing but they just stick to their T&C's. Non-refundable really means non-refundable, apparently!

I have tickets sorted now for the Saturday, but they're just regular steeplechase enclosure ones. I wouldn't be too worried, but they're a significant birthday present for my Dad, hence buying the (wrong!) Platinum Lounge ones. There are no other tickets available for the Saturday and no waiting list (well there are £300 a head corporate hospitality tickets but I'm afraid I can't stretch to those).

Unfortunately that is my best guess. I dealt with the Jockey Club before for a similar-ish problem i had for the Tingle Creek meeting in December and they were very helpful although that was a good few years ago.

I would probably just try the usual Done Deal/Adverts and probably stick them up on gumtree to get in a UK audience.
