When being appointed to collect the DA on behalf of the recipient, how long the weekly payment will be available at the post office before it expires and is sent back?
What kind of arrangement are available if the appointed agent is, let' say, sick or in holiday?
    Thanks

You can get DA paid into your bank account. No need for an agent.

Thank you for your answer, however this is for a minor with disability and without bank account so it was requested to be paid in the post office. How long is the payment retained before being sent back?

Could you ring or go to your local post office to find out Not sure about DA but I know with child benefit when it came up for collection on a Tuesday it had to be collected by the Friday

Is there any specific reason why a bank account cannot be opened for claimant? It's very straightforward/
