Fair play to him, every one else steals for a living, if I had any fucking heart I'd be out stealing too.

He's as honest as the shower in Leinster House.

I read this and thought you were talking about an actual showr. I was wondering what was wrong with the showers there and how it could be dishonest.

    I need more coffee.

You have more faith than I do. I'll be surprised if he is charged, let alone convicted.

Drew Harris cannot allow a detective be seen to commit the ultimate sin and get away with it.

    His position would be untenable.

*even as I wrote that,I was doubting it myself.

    Welcome to Ireland. :(

    It's a toss-up really between...

    - Not enough evidence or some screw-up with procedure, charges dropped

    - early retirement, WITH pension of course!

That's how it works generally. When was the last time a Garda was actually punished for proven wrongdoing?

I'd be surprised if he's not charged and convicted to be honest.

The same organisation that wrote off millions of penalty points, framed a man for murder in Donegal and made a whistleblower look like a paedophile? Are you sure? 20 K for a bribe sounds too small to me.
