Toyota steering wheels interchangeable?

    I have a 2003 avensis and would like to change the steering wheel. Ideally looking for a nice three spoke one. Anyone know if it's possible to change them?

    I've seen celica steering wheels fitted in corollas. Couldn't comment on whether they'd fit an avensis but they might so it'd be worth investigating.

    If it's the newer model Avensis then you might lose the remote stereo/trip computer controls on the existing steering wheel.

    I only have volume controls on my wheel now and I'm not too worried about losing them.

    From what I've read thewheels should fit, I'm wondering are the airbag connectors the same?

    There were 3-spoke corolla wheels of that vintage with volume controls built in. And I am that one who fitted celica wheel into corolla, BTW. Airbag was plug and play. :cool:

    Picking up a celica wheel in an hour or so, hopefully it fits if not I'll sell it on again
