Mould around some windows post renovation

    I have noted some mould appearing both on the windows, and in the corner of some windows, where it joins the sill. We had disasterous renovation - and so I'm conerned. The house was insulated within an inch of it's life during the renovation. It's a B3 rating. The mould was occurring at the join of the sill and winodw in my daughter's room, but she had books up againsgt it, and loads of rubbish on the sill - she's fairly messy to put it mildly! I noticed a similar issue where I had lots of paper and books on a sill in the kitchen - there was mould underneath them, but only where I had the books and papers. My son had books shoved up against the wall of his window, and similar happened. Is this a ventilation or cold bridging issue. There are air vents in all the rooms, and they are blocked. Do I need to get a Chartered Engineer to inspect this?

    What insulation was done to the house? Pump the cavity, external insulation?

    1. Probably a combination of both
    2. :eek::eek::eek:
    3. No. Unblock your vents.
