Do you think it's safe to book a flight with flybe? We need to get to Brighton in June.

    Why would it not be?

Brighton is closest to Gatwick which is not served from Ireland by Flybe. Fly Aer Lingus or Ryanair

If flying Flybe, book on a credit card and ensure you can afford to buy replacement flights until the ownership situation is sorted. realistically you should book all flights on a credit card and have sufficient funds for emergencies anyway

You might be confusing flybe with flybmi which indeed recently went bust. You'll be fine to book flybe I would think.

isnt it the case that if you book with a credit card that you can charge back the money should the service not be delivered ?

Flybe have been saved, but they'll be turned into a feeder airline for Virgin/AirFrance/KLM/Delta, so any routes that don't involve Heathrow, Manchester, Amsterdam or Paris are likely to change. Booking flights on other routes might be a gamble.
