So this is a new 'challenge' kids in the US (of course) are getting involved in, but it seems like something that the stupid kids over here will get involved in too. Basically, you go missing for 48 hours and the more mentions you get on social media, the more points you get. And that's it. Cops in America are not happy, understandably, as it takes away from genuine missing persons cases.

But it's yet another indicator of how much social media has a hold on the youth. They are literally doing anything to get a bit of fame on social media. While the Tide Pod challenge helped us to ween out some of the thickos, unfortunately the only people who will be affected by this are the cops and people who have genuinely gone missing.

What's next for the youth on social media! The amputation challenge?

I regularly go missing from my social media for longer than 48 hours. Or as I call it, Tuesday. Social media exists to help you be more sociable - meeting friends on weekends, or after work, and keeping in contact when you can't do it.

Can't understand these people whose lives revolve around it, and who don't even know half the people they're 'friends' with online.

My boot would be lost up their arse for longer than 48 hours if they tried it.

They used to do that in England in the 90s.

    What next, prank phone calls?

You're misreading it, they ACTUALLY go missing, to create a fuss on social media etc.
