What's his experience in? Career so far?

He has a bachelors degree in English and can speak 5 European languages and worked in recruitment, but he really loves gadgets (computers and mobiles etc) and he’s good at fixing them even without training...

Coming up with an idea is simple. IMO ideas are worth almost nothing.

It's the execution of the idea that's important.

    Example:

Someone has an idea for a website.

They don't write a spec. They hire a cheap Indian guy to build the website. The Indian guy doesn't know exactly what to build (because no spec) so has to make judgement calls on many things.

The finished product is not good, so you have to hire another guy to improve/implement many aspects of the product.

You now have the finished product, it looks nice, but the code isn't great.

You have no marketing budget, or don't know how to market things, so no one visits your website, so the website fails...

So even if your idea was brilliant, it's all about the execution.

Of course, having a good idea is better than a bad idea...

Maybe he could work as a translator? From foreign language to English.

What sort of funds has he behind him to get set up? Mobile/computer repairs?
