I’m filling out the form to set up the direct debit. It says €amount to shares € amount to loan

It needs you to fill in account number and account name. Is the member number and account number the same thing ???

Unless the account number is the credit union bank account number. When we it reaches that account then the money will be transferred to your member number.

Yes, and thats what I was thinking too - my local CU has a single bank account for transfers into the CU, with my CU account number as the reference, and then the CU staff handle the allocation of funds to the right accounts afterward
