The whole lot is available to stream for free on All 4.

Paying someone to transfer it from DVDs would cost a lot as it would be very time consuming.

Handbrake is what you need. Can't remember if you have to replace a DLL in order to circumvent the copy protection or if Handbrake has it built in. I think you need to replace it but if you google handbrake dvd copy protection you will find plenty of guides. Its not a problem really.
Tons of others available but Handbrake does it just fine.

As others have mentioned its a lengthy process though. I did it once with Scrubs and it took me all day going back and force to the laptop, change disks, identify the correct files with the episodes, name the files, restart the process. Hour of it. Its a bit of a pain. Download may be quicker but it could also be a problem to find a decently ripped version.

Frasier is brilliant and nice to have on the player as its easy to go back to a few episodes and start laughing all over again. Good luck

Yes, All 4 is available in Ireland.

Fraiser complete boxset is 44 DVDs. It would just be so tedious ripping and converting that manually.

Lidl from time to time sell digitalisers (I remember seeing them for cassette tapes and for videotapes). Alternatively, could someone lend you a DVD player, even an external one for laptops?

Bad idea. That would be even more time consuming as you would have to play it in real time - it would take over 96 hours in playing time alone. Plus all the messing around with lining up the recordings.

You could binge watch it while it's transferring, killing two birds with one stone. :P

You could buy a new dvd player for eff all. http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/8544001/Trail/searchtext>DVD+PLAYER.htm

Not that hard to replace a dvd drive in a laptop either.

DVDfab is good for converting. Frankly not worth the trouble, it's rather time consuming.

You can get DVD players for less than €20 on Adverts, but the Op said s/he didn't want to replace it. Having said that, if it works, in his/her shoes I'd buy the one that's going for a fiver (or the free to take away one), sort out my DVDs, and then hand it in to a charity shop, if I really didn't want to keep it.

Oh, shame - it's on All 4 on the desktop version. Must be just not available on mobile.
