She cannot stop it herself but can report the above to the DFA and the registrar of marriages

Are they still legally married or what is the status of the relationship - still living together, living apart but still legally married, judicial separation or divorce granted or filed for?

Married 4 years so can't be divorced yet.

OP contact INIS if you have concerns. If you're having trouble contacting them, go to your local td, they have a liaison contact with INIS.

OP indicated the marriage lasted 4 years. It is unclear how long ago they were married.

They could have married ten years ago (or even more), gone their separate ways six years ago but still be legally married or could be divorced by now.

They could equally have married only 4 years ago, still be living together and the OP just recently decided the marriage was over.

There may also be other circumstances relevant to a visa application or naturalisation which might be difficult for a poster to state without risking posting potentially identifying information.

As you say if the OP has concerns about the bona fides of the relationship and visa application it is best to contact INIS who can look at all the relevant facts.

Do mean the citizenship application is in the final stages of processing? I would report him immediately to the GNIB and Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service and if you have the reference number for his application, quote this also.

    Email to : visamail@justice.ie
Quote his application number if known.
Quite his full name, date of birth and address.
