Sub Floor

I've noticed lately that the floors upstairs are getting quite squeaky under foot and there seemed to be damage in a couple of spots.

I've pulled up the carpet and the ply underneath seems very slightly damp and is cracked in a couple of spots. Carpet itself seems dry and there are no other signs of water ingress.

How difficult is is to replace the sub floor in spots only?

might depend on how they nailed it down. should be every 16 inches on the joists, then you could just cut it out in sections. Is there any mold? might be best to replace the whole thing

No mould on it - you might be right on replacing the whole thing. Probably beyond my capabilities so I might need to outsource that one!
