    Hi all

Have been away from home for a number of weeks and when we returned we discovered that none of our toilet cistens are refilling. Cannot fathom why. Nothing has been touched in between us going g and coming back. Dont know if it's related but has boiler was also losing pressure which I have corrected. All taps showers bath etc working fine. Can anyone help. Dont even know where to start

    Thanks all

As you describe it, the existing system 'used to work' and now has ceased to work - so something has to have changed. Toilet ball-valves depend on a minimum of pressure to work - has something caused a DROP in pressure in the system? Maybe there's a leak, either on your property or outside it.....?

Start by checking pressure within your house - e.g. does the kitchen-tap 'gush-out' like it used to? If that's fine, try unscrewing one of the valves within the toilet-cisterns. If little or nothing comes out, that's a clear indication that the pressure at the cistern has fallen below requirement - at least at THAT location.
