Issue applying for Medical Card on website

I've been trying all day to start an application for a Medical Card on medicalcard.ie. The website works fine but when I click on the actual application page and try to log in the page goes blank and just says "Access Denied"

Is anyone else having this issue or am I just better off waiting the extra bit longer and applying through the post?

Happened me a few weeks ago as well. What I did was I went to the login screen, click forget password and put in my email address, then followed the link in the email to reset the password and it let me login then.

Save yourself the bother by filling a paper application and posting it in.

Yea, I think I'm going to have to. Trying again all this morning and nothing is working. Oh well 🙄

You would still have had to print it out and bring it to the GP to sign. Less bother to fill up the form and send everything off. Ask your CIC to photocopy the whole thing for you in case it gets “lost".

Online is the worse experience for applying or renewals ,
My wife and kids got theirs recently no issues mine got cancelled because online I couldn't be married and I couldn't have kids ,
I was essentially a single person despite married with kids

Once again it’s so much easier just to throw the renewal letter in the bin and make a fresh application. Eventually when they realise that people aren’t driving themselves insane with the online application they will find a way for it to be renewed which makes it easier for the customer and themselves.
