You'd wonder what Wales are at. They are really acting the maggot in this one. This scoreline has a lot less to do with Italy than it does with Wales. They are getting penalised regularly for stupid things. They didn't do this stuff against France so no excuse for it now.
It's clear and obvious that if they apply themselves they will destroy Italy, they are not putting anything close to a premium effort in.

    Tommy Allen is absolutely useless.
Why take the points there after getting 7 from the last penalty?

Going in two behind having chased the game from the start would have been an amazing return. Three easy points or fight for a return of 5 or 7, normally it's a non brainer.

Of course he had to go and miss after all that :pac:

Bit of panic from Wales here? Bringing on the big names early.

If I only had one eye, I'd be wearing a pirate patch and grow my hair out so I could try and intimidate the opposition with my Snake Plisskin cosplay.

2 poor kicks in 2 mins from Biggar

    This could be on....

If Italy play to 85% of their potential here they can win this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,935 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

Very poor kicks from the Welsh given both were under no pressure.

I know patchell is injured now but how was he not picked ahead of biggar and anscome in the past.

    Wales are hilariously bad.

But that try was over due. Can't see Italy winning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,935 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

    Killer blow.

Expect Italy to completely fall off now.

Although I'd love to be proved wrong.

And just as I say this, they knock on their own lineout and concede the try

Try off another nonsense call against the Italians

    I really admire the guy.

Feel sorry for him they always say "he just wants his rugby to do the talking" after the introduce him as "Ian McKinley ... he only was one eye ya know!"

I would like to see that knock on again. Welsh lucky and I hope the Italians don't fall off now.

Super try, quick ball through hands and a minimum of phases. Time for the Italian capitulation?

    Hardly 'super'. Tackling was awful.

    Is 11 obstructing even?

    Edit; immaterial in the end.

    Shouldn't be a try. Isn't.

Wales are going to be flayed for this poor performance.

Looked like a try to me, I didn't see any knock on.

Wales really going to struggle for the BP.

Poor ... yes ..... but this is all about the result .... the only way we can win this 6n is to do the slam.

    And it's done.

Wales playing like they've forgotten bonus points exist.

Italy the masters at scoring inconsequential late tries

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,260 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

Another late flourish. It would be fun if the Italians get one more try alone to hear Gatlands reaction to being out scored on tries :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,544 ✭✭✭Marengo

Our not collecting an away BP in Murrayfield, doesn't look bad compared to Wales lack here. Granted they have 10 changes and will be primed for a Slam in the Millennium.

Can he not ring upstairs on his iPhone, like Nigel did in Thomond?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,544 ✭✭✭Marengo

If they lose a game they'll be down the table on points gained and score differential. 11 pts on Italy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

    A fitting end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,106 ✭✭✭Christy42

Welsh lineout has been an utter mess.

Gatland has been punished for his lack of respect for the Italians. They get the win but look like they need the slam for the championship.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,260 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

Can we sue the WRU and the TV network for the 80 minutes we lost watching this mess?
