Refund for returned equipment.

I moved house last year and Eir could not provide a landline in the new place.
Hence I had no sue for the Eir modem and Eir TV box as there services were cancelled and I only continued with the mobile contracts.
I was late returning the equipment and was charged for it.
Contacted Eir online chat to ask if I could still return the equipment and get a refund.
Was told I could and given a Freepost address to send it to.
Did this two months ago and include a nopte with the account details.
No sign of a refund yet and contacted the Eir online chat to chase this up.
They person who "assisted" me kept going around in circles and wouldn't answer my question.
Eventually I was told to ring support nut quite frankly I have better things to do than spend an hour or more on hold.
Can someone from Eir on this forum deal with this?
