New Home Issues during Storm Erik

    Looking for advice please...
Okay this may sound like a strange one but here goes...
As Storm Erik’s battling on outside every time the wind gets fierce the floor here in our room shakes a little thus shaking the super king size bed with it (so not a small or light bed)!!
Sounds mad but everytime the wind picks up this happens.

We are in a new build, 1yr old and it’s a 3 story house and this is happening in the master bedroom on the third floor.

Does anyone know if this is normal or ever had anyone experience this in their home?
We had issues with the floor boards recently creaking and making a banging type sound when walked on (they are below carpet). When they came to fix them, it turned out some of the joists weren’t screwed in properly and they said they bolted them to fix them. The floor is still the same though is small parts so obviously the job wasn’t done properly, but does anyone know if this could be the issue and somehow the wind is coming into the house through the cavity walls and causing them to move?

Any help or advice is much appreciated, as was thinking of messaging the builder tomorrow but I think he may try fob me off or think I’m going mad!!
    Thanks

I still reckon it's the engine size to blame. Give your dealer a call in the morning. Or your solicitor maybe.

In a new home on third floor also, windy here, no banging other than rooms with vents open creating a small draft with doors tapping etc.

I'd contact the builder given you had a previous issue already.

Doubt it’s the Q5 @HeidiHeidi, but if the builder fobs me off I’m thinking you’re right with the solicitor

Thought it was a VW Polo, or a Peugeot 5008 you had, no?

Or was it a Mini? Or a Corolla?

    Gosh, I get sooooo confused!

It could be fine but it could be something serious too. Definitely should be checked out. Opening up works will be required.

Easily confused but that’s ok... we all make mistakes. Nope it’s defo a Q5, not your run of the mill car so no issues there.... thankfully

Is yours? You better get extra batteries to hand in case the power goes out..
