    Hi,

Was wondering if anyone has ever done the above tour and how they found it - I'm a car enthusiast but my wife isn't. Our base will be on south shore of Lake Garda so wondering is it worth a trip etc.

    Thanks.

I was there 8 years ago now and found it excellent. Think it was about 2 hours on the train from Milan to Modena and then bus from Modena to Maranello.

The museum is packed with Ferrari F1 cars through the ages, from the Fangio era, to Prost, Schumacher and present day. They had a sort of pit garage set up where they had a disassembled F1 car which was also cool to see. In addition to this, they had a lot of Ferrari road cars such at the Enzo, FXX and 599 GTO.

There’s currently a Michael Schumacher exhibition on to celebrate his 50th birthday which I believe includes all of his Ferrari F1 cars amongst other things. I’d say it would be great to see if you’re a fan.

Maranello itself is a small enough town with plenty of places offering you the chance to drive a Ferrari around it for a fee. You can also take a walk down to the perimeter of Ferrari’s test track, Fiorano, and might get to see a Ferrari going flat out around the track your lucky!

    In short - definitely recommended!
