    Dear all,

I have problem with understanding of meaning "stroke out a case".

In june 2017 i got european order for payment, then defendant lodge a statement of opposition. Tullamore Circuit Court Office indicatated, that first hearing will be on 27 november 2018. At this hearing court stated that "That the matter, as per the notice of motion, be and herby is struck out".

    1. In connection with the above, I have a question whether the European order for payment is final and enforceable or whether I lost the case (I am the plaintiff).

    2. For what reason the case are "stroke out" in Irealnd?

    Greetings

We cannot give specific legal advice on boards.

In general, struck out means dismissed. So whoever initiated the motion, it was rejected.

As Elm has stated you cannot get legal advice here. Talk to your own lawyer.Closed
