Hi we are at our wits end with our underfloor heating which is only three months old. When it comes on, the boiler sounds like a plane landing or screeching sound, whistling. We dont put it on for fear the neighbours can hear it. During the night it comes on itself, i know that is us not setting up the whole frost thing properly etc but the whistling is enough to wake us all up.....I know nothing about all of this, i think it is a baxi. combi? eco blu......my husband tried to rise the water pressure. we have contacted the plumber but he is mad busy and wont get to us for a bit....anybody out there who knows what is wrong...

Do you just have under floor heating?any radiator circuits?
Is it “whistling” constantly when you have it on?
Can you post a photo of the boiler and pipework to the underfloor?

No radiators, whistles non stop when it is on. will take a pic in am and post it, the pipe work is covered up with a wood box around it in my bedroom. Thanks for replying, what do you think it might be?

Gas boilers need to be tested and adjusted during a service, it is possible when the settings are outside of the correct values that the boiler can then whistle.

Never whistled though three months ago when installed, only in the last few weeks. Thanks.

If it’s the settings on the boiler it will only whistle when it hits the sweet spot which is different on each boiler, you may find the change in the weather is enough to hit the sweet spot.

There is very little that whistles and usually it the boiler settings. It’s certainly the first box to tick.
