If You plant a new ditch/hedge the same length as the one you are going to remove somewhere else on the farm you are OK. It has to be planted first.

    Often see this explanation.
Is there many places you could plant a hedge after most people takeing them out?
Cant plant in the middle of field coz that make it smaller. Maybe around a yard if none already.
Would you get away with planting a hedge directly along another hedge or would dept accept that reasoning?

Ideally somewhere where there's a hedge already but not marked on a map

Have you a barbed wire fence or permanent electric fence up already that you could plant a hedge beside?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Slim chance of that not on map especially with satellite maps tho I'd say, especially on our farm.
I'd like to take a Ditch out and can't find anywhere suitable to replace it out of the way.

Is it possible to plant the hedge just outside where the new wall will be? I know it might be awkward for when it is being built but might be an option if have no others
