Sky News Rolling for 30 Years

Interesting behind the scenes feed on Youtube and on a dedicated Sky Channel.

https://news.sky.com/story/sky-news-raw-channel-to-offer-unprecedented-access-behind-the-scenes-11625210 Unfortunately it finishes at 5pm.

I'm somewhat addicted to rolling news but I have to say Sky News I think is probably the best rolling news channel. Yeah I know noone likes Murdock but still I think they do a very good job. I find their presenters are all likable (well mostly) unlike the rather dour presenters the BBC have.

I do like their newspaper review every night at 10:30pm which sometimes has controversial contributors like Melanie Phillips or Brendan O'Neil and often makes for a bit of comedy or heated debate.

I don't have a sat box and watch Sky News on Youtube live feed. Quite cool you can rewind back 4 hours of coverage as well. So, Happy Birthday Sky News.

I can't look beyond Kay Burley and her thinly disguised bias. She tries to lead interview subjects down a cul de sac, objective journalism be damned.

The Murdoch connection is over now since they got bought out.

Hopefully with Comcast taking over after buying our Sky Europe Sky News will soon come to an end.

    BBC or France 24.

BBC are worse than Sky News with figures like John Humphrys, Nick Robinson and Laura Kuenssberg spouting little more than government spin.

Much rather trust Faisal Islam (who I believe is BBC-bound) or Beth Rigby.

Beth Rigby is an excellent reporter. She was great untangling the issues here in Ireland during the abortion referendum.

The problem with the BBC is they are now more PC than BBC.

RTE used to show Sky News for a few hours when the channel first came out in 1989.

I will never watch it as long as Kay Burley and Adam Boulton are employed.
