Hi, last Friday afternoon I transferred approx.£6k sterling from my Irish BOI current account (via Banking 365) to a UK Bank account (Halifax) as part of a motorbike purchase.  How long typically does this take as the funds had not appeared up to close of business today.

    Thanks,

    veetwin

    Hi veetwin

Thanks for coming to us with your query.

If you transferred the funds in Sterling as an international payment on Friday before cut off time for payments of 3.30pm, it will reach the beneficiary bank today. Just to mention, it could take a further 1-2 banking days for the receiving bank to process the payment into the designated account.

If you made a SEPA transfer on Friday, before 3.30pm the funds will have credited the receiving account yesterday.

If the transactions were made after 3.30pm on Friday it will take 1 extra day added to the time frame above.

Hope the information helps, any further questions feel free to check back with us.

    Many thanks
    Alison
