Will marketing beat religion?

We have all these nutters running around worrying about what religion their country will end up following.

We also have all these other nutters blowing people up because they are being tricked into thinking they are doing it for some god rather than for some other nutter who has a warped sense of what his god wants or because he benifits monetarily from people blowing stuff up.

Then we have marketing and Hollywood and consumerism and going out in the weekend and chasing the wimmin or whatever you like to chase.

Can the religious keep their offspring religious for long enough to take over?

They have the stick which is the nutters shouting at them in the street. I feel this will act as a stick to the religious. I find the stick can be as good as it is bad. Will it put steel in their beliefs or recruit their friends?

Then you have the carrot of marketing and the American dream etc.

I think most nutters that end up blowing people up and most nutters who end up worrying about what colour skin somebody has are very alike. The marketing and the promise of movies and women didn’t come easy enough for them and they find themselves in a bedsit with nothing to do accept hate the other side.

So what do you see happening in the future? I’d say marketing will win out. The kids will get into something else. Football hooliganism seems to be getting popular again. Mad that people want to fight but won’t join boxing clubs.

It’s a mess of an opening post on a thread I suppose.

Disclaimer: obviously it’s a minority thing all idiots arnt racist and all religious arnt murderous.

    Another religion thread?

    A mess? Most certainly.

    This is factually correct.

Sorry guys it was just something I was thinking about. Can a generation of old world religious people come through to the modern world and hold onto their beliefs is what I’m wondering really. I’m not trying to bash a religion or a nutter that worries about this stuff.

Say a family frozen in north Alaska 500 years ago were dropped here and defrosted would marketing change them over a generation or would they still want to live in snow houses?

People in igloos shouldn't throw snowballs.

    Pardon????

I'm not sure what religious beliefs were held by early 16th century Yupik, Aleut, Eyak, or Tingit.

Edit: And snow houses? Really! You'd be better off researching these topics before posting. You may also learn something.

Would their children’s children adjust to modern life or spend their time blaming everything wrong in their life on the idea that everybody treats them different over their yupikitness.

    Goodnight!

You are in a lot of threads telling people you arnt partaking in the thread. Should I be in the mathematics forum telling people I have no interest in their sums?

I kind of just breeze over the first page of threads because you and about two other chaps either make a crap joke or tell people you arnt partaking in the thread then you all thank each other.

I’m not one for forums I used to be on a bodybuilding one a lot when I thought having muscles made me awesome and nobody behaved like that. Tbh half of them lads were skinny insecure wannabes that wouldn’t even eat 3 square meals a day but they never behaved like that , they just sometimes pretended they were bodybuilders.

Anyway it’s a bit off putting but I won’t let it get me down there is some good discussion here and I get to shake answers out of people who wouldn’t normally waste their time talking to a builder unless they had a toilet that needed unblocking.

You've tried on a few occasions to explain what the topic is, and failed. Not my fault if I don't get what it's about.
And again, a drift from Alaskan natives to bodybuilding and then builders. Sorry, and I truly am, but I am flummoxed as to what the premise is.

What did you inflate them with?

Protein and compound movements under resistance.
I’m more into other stuff these days though.

What do you inflate them with?

The old reliable BMI pump. Remember that old chestnut and it's granting of immunity from colds and flu?

BMI? What is this 1987? If I was just my arm I’d probably have an unhealthy BMI. Although in fairness I’m way off peak fitness these days. I realized having big huge muscles doesn’t make a person suddenly great a while back and don’t take the fitness too serious. I snap a kit kat every now and again to keep my muscles pumped.

BMI? What is this 1987? ....

We had a guy last year who insisted a proper BMI gave immunity from viruses. But that's a story for another day.

I imagine it would benefit health but I’m not sure that’s how viruses work unless of course you have a weakened immune system from getting a transplant because you were too tubby but really the fitness talk really bores me. Especially people who pretend they are naughty eaters for having a homemade protein bar with get this real coconut oil (then do something like say nom nom nom) like they just ate a live pig dipped in bbq sauce.
