'EastEnders' star Adam Woodyatt - known to millions onscreen as Ian Beale - will be among Ray D'Arcy's guests on Saturday night on RTÉ One at 9:30pm. Woodyatt, who has been with 'EastEnders' since it began on BBC One in February 1985, will be discussing his decades as one of the soap's most enduring characters.

Also joining D'Arcy on Saturday night will be the reigning Rose of Tralee, Kirsten Mate Maher, who will be talking about her eventful year and "recent online run-in with US rapper Azealia Banks".

In his first interview since becoming a dad, former Kerry GAA captain Paul Galvin will discuss his new clothing collection and one of his heroes, Luke Kelly.

Chef Clodagh McKenna will be in studio to chat about her new show and book. She'll also talk about her new love, Harry Herbert, whose family own the real-life Downton Abbey, Highclere Castle in Berkshire.

The Ray D'Arcy Show, Saturday, RTÉ One, 9:30pm.

There will be no discussion on rugby, don't even think about it.

It is a good line up for a change, I haven't watched this since I was unemployed, I don't want to waste my free time watching it but I will watch it tonight.

Looking at that line-up, you can see why this show is being put out of its misery early.

Hopefully it's not a great show - like the late late show, the worse the show the better the thread.

That camera work to the audience is frightening - the way the camera man is flying around there, he'll hit someone before long.

You're more than welcome to the thread, Azealia...but can't you just leave her alone? :D

That photo of Ian Beale is about 30 years old.

'Titanic' and 'sinking' are words I often think of when watching this show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 74,296 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Didn't know her Dad was Reginald D. Hunter!

Same goes for that question from Ray to the parents "how did ye meet?" And then cue silence...

I'm watching purely for the cringe factor. Ray would rather be anywhere else. It's just so bad.

That coughing was the most interesting part of the interview so far.

"It's bad news, Ray. Your TV show...it's being axed."

*Ray gives a look of 'did I leave the porridge on for too long in the microwave?'*

Far from crap. Rugby and hurling are the best sports in existence IMO.

Your just sour cause you don't understand rugby rules lol.

    Its a real mans sport.

Ray is so apathetic about his job. I kinda don't blame him in a way. RTE only allow certain things to be discussed and Ray has to tow the line to get his gold.
