    Hi all,
Hope I'm in the right forum. 43 year old female. Last December, I visited my doctor as I had a light 3 week period and tummy pains (previous period hadn't been for 3 months.) Doctor felt tummy. He referred me for ovarian scan and I had bloods taken. I had my scan before Christmas and the consultant was happy ovaries were grand. She asked about my bloods. I replied that I had had them taken 2 weeks previously but had assumed all was grand as I hadn't heard from the doctor. She had no record of my bloods and said "Don't assume anything". She told me to keep a record of my periods (that'll be easy as I haven't had one since) and scheduled an appointment in June. Then today, out of the blue, my doctor rings me asking me to get bloods done in the next few weeks. I was a bit alarmed and asked was there anything amiss with my bloods from December. He repeated that my consultant had said the scan was clear. He said I was "pristine" (whatever that means in this context!). When pressed, he said my white cells were low and that could be due to a virus. I recall a blood test 2/3 years ago with low white cells. As I am a longtime vegetarian he mentioned possible low levels of B12. When I mentioned that my period hadn't returned he mentioned HRT. I'm in a bit of a panic given the lapse in time since bloods taken.

No. Slight drop in white cells unlikely to be significant.
Worrying isn't going to help anyway so no point worrying.

Early menopause could look like this.
