    Just heard on the Radio, Regina Doherty has announced a few minutes ago that Jobseekers allowance/Benefit is to be renamed Newstart Allowance and Newstart Benefit from July 1st. Thoughts ?

    This sounds more like a direction from Ministerial Level to be fair.

    Whats the point in changing the name of it.
    Just more internal bull**** designed to waste tax payers money.
    How much are they going to charge to rebrand the whole ****ing thing.

    Many of those on it especially an ethnic Irish group never worked a day in their life and no matter what you change the name to will never be asked to work a day so can’t see what the name change will do ??

    Increase? It should be reducing on a sliding scale dependent on how long you are on it.
