    Hi guys,
Trying to tune in ITV4 for my uncle on his sky box. Finds the channel but dosnt seem to store. When i go back to other channels, they have all gone.
A quick Google shows it may be a known issue and says to power off at the mains and it should be ok.
Done this but nothing has changed.
Does any one have a fix?
    Thanks,

Are you saving the channel using the yellow button after tuning it in?

This is a long shot but when you go through all the clicks to get to other channels use the up arrow in case you have opened on a blank page and to be safe use down arrow as well. another thing to do is check the latest version of the software in the box. does box have a sky card?

It's an on going issue with some boxes apparently. May have been the result of some update or other. In any event once you've found and stored the channels turn the box off, remove plug from socket for about 4 minutes and then reboot.

I'll try that, not sure it stores it to begin with. Switched off at the socket but will make sure to remove plug this time

Not Sure, I'll check when I back at his later. It's not connected to broadband or anything

I had similar issue on a sky q box. Switching the box on and off seems to get the other channels list to update.

I only signed up for sky because of the 50 euro month broadband deal. Much prefer my vu+ box where I can put channels in the order I like and none of this 'other channels' bullsh1t.

Freesat is almost as bad as sky. Lots of FTA channels have to be added as other channels and are awkward to access.

Microsoft and Google have gotten in trouble with the EU in the past for using their market position to promote their own products like their browsers and search engines over the competition.

I wish the EU would do something about the television market. Sorry, rant over.

What do you want the EU to do about Freesat? Or more specifically what do you want the 27 countries to agree on? It is only an accident of geography that you are able to receive Freesat. The signal cannot be received in some EU countries.
