    Hi

Next week I have my CPC practical, but the only instructor in my area that have a bus and agreed with me to go to my cpc, has other exam in different place in the same time. Because of that I had to rent bus from coach renting company so now he dose not have time for me to explain how this exam looks like. I know the questions and answers for that test they are in this thread, but I am afraid what else I can be asked to show, demonstrate outside of questions.
For example I think I have to wear High visibility jacket when preforming an exam but I am not sure cause I have no instructor to tells me that.
Anything else I have to be aware of, any other protective clothing, what I need to familiarize myself with in that hired bus that I can be asked to demonstrate.
    Please help me.

    It's a daily check basically.

When i done mine i started at the drivers fly window and showed the tester all the items i would check

    Mirrors/windows are clean,and not damaged
Check your tyres for cracks/abrasions/bulges, tyre depth 1.6mm minimum
indicators/headlights/foglights are in good working order and not damaged.
    wiper blades aren't worn
    Number plate isn't damaged
Tax/insurance/cvrt/operators licence are all present, correct and in date
the door of the bus is in perfect working order
the steps are clean and undamaged.
the luggage compartment doors are working, you would also check for contraband in there and under all the wheel arches.
make sure your vehicle has enough fluids such as coolant, oil etc
    your emergency exits are unlocked/unblocked.
you have a fire extingusher/first aid kit/high vis, torch, pen & paper and a disposable camera.
all your seat belts are working
Also ensure there are no bricks/boulders or debris stick between the rear wheels.

This is not an exhaustive list, it's what i remember from my own, tester took me around all 4 corners of the bus, some testers don't go beyond the near side mirror, this was the case for my truck show and tell.

Thanks for that it will help a lot. Do you know do I have to wear High visibility vest when performing an exam? Any other PPE?

Yes you must wear a hi vis, that’s all I ever wore both times.

Thanks. So the whole exam is about walk around and those 5 sections I found somewhere on this forum: Passengers comfort and safety, Ability to load vehicle,Ability to prevent criminality, Ability to prevent physical risk, Ability to access( i presume it should be assess) emergency situations ? Anything else You can expect? I will see my minibus first time 20 minutes before an exam, what I should familiarize myself with ?

It’s known as a show and tell, you need to walk around the bus demonstrating what you would do as part of your daily check and answer other questions they may ask you.

Never lock emergency exits as this could come up.

Do you know what make and model your mini bus is? 20 minutes before a test is not ideal for seeing a bus for the first time.

I will meet driver 45 minutes before an exam tomorrow morning, so will have at least 30 minutes to look around the bus, should be fine. I have also speak with one of the CPC instructors in the area so he said that only 2 people fail this exam here in last 10 years, wish me luck to not be third ;), and thanks for that video.

I am aware of 1 person in my life failing that exam, in 2012. You'll fly the test :) let me know how you get on, the very best of luck.
