I was sure there was an ongoing thread for these questions.

    2009 VW Passat CC Black
    114,000 Miles
NCT in August, but i'll get it a 2 year NCT in May
I think i'm its second owner, since 2012.

    HZ2DeUe.png

    Recent Maintenance:
Timing belt and service done about 6k miles ago
New disks and pads all around (within the last 8-10k miles)
    Tires (PZeros) about 50%

Wiring harness for the boot lid/badge replaced in late 2017. Pinch point in the boot lid arm wore the wiring away.
Steering column lock sensor replaced in 2014.

    Notable extras:
RNS510 head unit - Sat Nav, DVD, hard drive for music
    OEM VW badge reversing camera
    Cruise control
    Footwell lights
    Door warning lights
Chrome pack - Chrome pedals, chrome door sills, chrome tipped window switches
18" Interlagos allows (commonly called sirocco alloys)
Hasn't had it's VW "fix" for Dieselgate, so I count that as a plus.

    Faults:
2 1cent sized indents on the back bumper. Not really noticeable, but it's there
Very minor scuff on the side rear bumper. Again, not really noticeable but it's there.
    Kerb damage on the alloys
Front number plate frame has a little crack

I'm being pedantic with the "faults" because they're what's honestly wrong with the bodywork.

    6k?

Cheers frog. Think everyone else is afraid to value my car... As am I. I hate using Donedeal as a benchmark because A) all cars are different in some ways. I would class mine as being very well specd, if lacking leather seats. And B) they're asking prices, not their value.

These Passat CCs were all reasonably well spec’ed.
    140bhp or 170?
    Manual or dsg?
Hard to see more than €6k, but probably not much less either. Even carzone has 09s at €6k

Try and price what it would cost to land a similar model from the UK for, that might give you a more realistic value of what it's worth here.

    €4-5k max.

Where they? Most I see on Donedeal are all pretty basic. The odd one with leather. A few with parking sensors.

Are the margins still what wide on ~€6k cars? Do overheads not eat up any potential savings?

Are you looking to sell? :pac:

I think asking around €6k would be in the right ballpark.

    6k if a garage/dealer was selling
Private seller id say 5k, diesel resell isnt holding up and Its hitting 10yrs old.

I'd say €8k if a dealer was selling it.

€6k asking for a private sale would be good. They are a desirable car and that one is fairly well sorted. Anything on Donedeal for less than that is a henhouse and there's no point giving it away. I'd entertain very little haggling at that too. Maybe €200-250 tops.

I shall be. Have to start looking/test driving it's replacement first though. We'll see what the magical spreadsheet of money in/out says also.

Cheers. Not something I would have thought of.

I might be interested when the time comes.

    SOLD! :D

I'll give you a shout when the time comes. Won't be February, and probably not March. Gotta move mortgages before I empty a bank account on a car. :pac:

    later that day...

    Manual, 140hp

€6k seems to be the consensus. What I mean by well-specced, is that most will compare the spec to one on the Passat itself.
That said, manual/140hp is entry level drivetrain on the CC.

I like the CC, I think they’ve dated really well, and you could expect negligible depreciation for the next few years. If it’s runnign well, it’s well worth keeping.
