Staycation - Wexford

Hi All,

Looking at a week in August in Wexford, ourselves and our 6 year old.

Was aiming to ideally have a cottage/apartment/house close to the coast.

Any recommendations?

Amber springs in Gorey is a top family hotel. Or you could look about renting a house in bdllymoney

Close to Gorey, close to the coast - plenty of options for food/drinks not too far away.

Looked at the Amber Springs, was about 1200 for the week.

Will check out Ballymoney.

Was also looking at places around the Hook Penninsula and found a few at around 700 but was hoping (probably optimistically) for something a little cheaper.

Am I being ambitious?

Sandy Lane and Sandy Cove are nice estates - with a couple of playgrounds for kids and a walkway down to the beach (away from traffic).

The Tara Vale pub is nearby and it's close enough to Seafield Hotel. Probably a 10 or 15 mins drive to Gorey.

There are a few holiday homes around the Hook Head, you have Hookless village, a few in Fethard itself, and then you'd have other houses in nearby Saltmills or Duncannon. Most I reckon would be up to €100 a night or so. A lot would be walking distance to beaches which would be a great advantage.

Thanks all, ended up booking Warren Farm cottages near the JFK Arbertoreum - had checked some of the above tho so thanks for the suggestions.
