BMW mechanic in Dublin? And how much would I be looking at for service?

Got service due soon, looking for decent mechanic that can also fill in service book and do the stamp.

Never serviced this car before - how much would I be looking at for general service?

Preferably Tallaght area.

Not a mechanic as such but try a crowd called bloomfield garage near harolds cross bridge. They're an indie BMW garage that services. I've used them a few times in the past once my beemers had aged a bit and it was less value to keep them serviced in authorized dealers. its been about 3 years since I've used them as I've been out of the country with work but always found them sound to deal with. I assume they're still in business. Decent rates too if I remember but that's relative to an AD. If you're looking specifically for a mechanic, they might seem pricey but you know you're dealing with an experienced garage. No harm checking them out.....

Any back street mechanic can fill in a service book and give you a stamp. That means nothing.

Go to someone that has experience in your particular make and model of car.

For BMW I’d recommend :
Valdas in Motor Confidence.
BMW Service and Diagnostic in Rathcoole.
Bloomfield - I’ve used before years ago also.

Same. Think my service was about 180 euro, although that would depend on the car. Guy is excellent.

He's certainly not the only BMW indy in Dublin.

Where's this guy based? Be good to know for future reference....thought I was on the pigs back with the car I bought recently which had a 5 year service pack only to be told that it was running out in about 3k miles as I signed on the dotted line....oh well....

Surely any competent indy mechanic can do a general service on a BMW...they're not spaceships ffs.

Nope, just normal run of the mill cars, but a decent indy with BMW knowledge will know the little things to check that may get missed on other cars.
