I came back from a surfing trip in Sri Lanka last week and had a lot of luggage. Had 6 bags altogether weighing 60kg total so a friend who was on another flight home took 4 of the bags. I picked up the bags from him this evening and realised there was one missing. His baggage tags were still stuck to his passport and there was only 3 tags. Have contacted the airline in Dublin airport and they said they don't have it. Thinking back now I think the agent in Sri lanka may not have tagged the bag that's missing as it was under a surfboard on the weighing scale at check in. Does anyone know what happens in this situation? Does it just get handed into lost and found at that airport? Thanks in advance! Stressed out!
