Hi I was hoping someone could help I'm currently 5yrs separated have had free legal aid services since the start of separation... finally served divorce papers to ex husband just before Xmas so hoping someone could give me some imput into what happens from Here and how long more proceedings might take and more importantly what if any bill did you get from legal aid solicitors once all finished. I've asked solicitor before but got fobbed off with wait till we get that far ... as there is children involved a barrister was used to draw up papers and I'm now worrying how I'm going to pay if get a hugh bill.. already pay mortgage alone and raise 4 children while been self employed with very little income and very little in child maintenance from ex so already a struggle to keep bills paid without the worry of a massive legal bill.. so I want to know what's ahead if anyone can help with their experience thank you

My partners wife is using legal aid. So long as you negotiate everything out if court you shouldn't need a barrister.

The solicitors should be able to draw up the papers to get them ratified in court? That's what our two solicitors appear to be doing anyway!
