Wicklow Ceremony

Hello. Looking at all our options at the moment.

Can anyone recommend a venue (Not a church) for a ceremony only in Wicklow?
Looking for something a bit quirky, or different, with space for about 100 guests.
Not a room in a hotel or country house.
    The reception would be elsewhere.

    Any ideas?

How quirky? My make up artist was telling me about a wedding she had done the previous week, it was in Wicklow Gaol.

    Oooo. That sounds interesting.
We're also looking into the Whale Theatre in Greystones.

If you're thinking outdoors, how about June Blake Gardens? Or Greenan Maze?

Maybe you'd like Lisnavagh House, it's a country house but it's quite quirky and really cute. It's just about in Carlow though.

    Thanks. I'll look into Lisvanagh.

We're planning a spring wedding, can't rely on weather for outdoors.

Was beaten to it with the gaol recommendation! Depending on the time of year, the abbey grounds also in Wicklow town, the Black Castle or the M&M car park, all outdoors. I know the car park sounds a little odd but the views are amazing. Again from a view perspective, Wicklow Golf Club.

Thanks, we need an indoor space though as we can't rely on weather for Spring.

I'm going through my venue database here, unfortunately in Wicklow a lot of really nice accessible places are in some sort of connection with a business that hosts weddings.
Also it seems you want a ceremony venue only, right?
There would be Ballybeg house but they are an exclusive venue and are crazy expensive.
If you're willing to go into the very last bogcorner of Wicklow, there's Huntington Castle which has a gorgeous old barn attached, you could enquire if they do ceremonies only. The barn doesn't hold a huge amount of people though, depending on how big your guest list is.

How about asking for a ceremony in Bray's Sea life if you're into it, it's definitely unique.

Also another stunning one is the Maritime museum in Dun Laoghaire, I know it's not Wicklow but it's close.

Dunno if they'd rent the Ceremony room on its own, but if so it's incredibly nice!

I'm pretty sure they don't on the Key days, you might get lucky mid-week though if there isn't a wedding booked.

What about the Orangery at Kilruddery?

That would be ideal, and the location is perfect for us. I've emailed last Friday but no reply as yet. I'll try calling later in the week.
