    Jaysus! Like a drama series.

Why did he call the judge "racist"? :pac:

    Bit psycho it seems.

She isn't (although I heard that black people can't be racist. ;) )

£84K p.a for a surgeon doesn't seem that much, thought it'd be at least double that. poor fella no wonder he had to commit fraud to get by....dope

£84k(€97K) a year!! An Irish consultant wouldn't even get out of bed for that.
He's a dope for not earning 2 to 3 times as much elsewhere.

    From the article:

"The high flying and glittering career of a Meath born hospital surgeon..."

Don't know why but that made me laugh.

that would be his basic salary. He would then get performance bonuses and can top up his salary by doing private work. If he is only earning the basic amount, then he probably isn't very good

General surgeons generally tap out at £120K in the UK. Channel 4 (I think) did a programme on it before and the average was £75K for the position. Retaining talent is a big problem over the, much like here. Your take home in the US for the same role would be anywhere up to $500K.
