End of Year P21

    So I submitted a Form 12 recently for 2017 amd 2018 but I was not 100% sure I had all details correct as it showed two ERN numbers! So the next day I phoned Revenue because I wasn't sure it was correct. I spoke with member of the team and he said he would review it and amend where it needed. And true to his word he sent a reply to my enquiry saying I would be refunded.

    I got a refund this morning of €1005 combined for the two years which I was not expecting as I work for multinational who are quite good with tax/payroll! I just claimed about 300/400 each year combined on medical expenses and health insurance credit. I did have home renewal credit so maybe thats it but I cannot work out how its this much.

    I am nervous about spending it incase they come back in few months to say actually that is not yours...does this happen? Am I safe to assume its mine if it states it on the P21!

    Spend and enjoy.

    Think about all those €5 / €10ers here and there that were being deducted from your payslip, that's your money!

    Revenue don't mess up that often.
    Same happened my friend, was barely expecting a couple of hundred and got a nice cheque for €700 a few days ago.

    I just hope I'm as lucky, waiting for my p21 to show on revenue online.
