How many times is it acceptable to use the same bath towel at home not on holiday or anything.
Just wondering what the general consensus is and is it different for women and men?
3 times is my limit right now, I use my towel and hang it on a clothes horse so Im never using a wet towel exactly but Im training four times a week and Im not using a new towel every time its way too much washing and I don’t have a dryer.

Depends on how often one showers.

I read an article on this before (which wasn't nearly as boring as it sounds) and if it's a towel that only you're using and it's hanging somewhere it can dry completely between uses, then 3-5 uses is fine.

Communal towels or ones that don't dry properly between uses need to be washed more often.

I usually use one for a week, do the washing at the weekend and get a fresh one out. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Yer supposed to be drying a clean body so I don't see the issue.

First they came for the socialists...

Communal towels are very unhygienic, faeces, other bodily fluids.

Depends. Monogamous couples fairly quickly reach a state called homeostasis where they essentially become immune to eachother's germs, including coliform bacteria. My parents would think nothing of grabbing a towel the other person had used off the rack after a shower. I would have done the same when I was married, as long as it was dry.

I usually use my towel for about a week and then wash it. I always let it dry in between washes though. It wouldn't bother me to use my wife's towel or if she used mine but I don't generally tend to do it.

If you throw it at the wall and it sticks,it's time to wash it.

The two times rule works. After two showers wash it. If you haven’t showered in two weeks or just showered once in two weeks the towel needs changing.

Usually 3 times. Just hang it over the banister outside the bathroom and it’s dry for the following day.

Unless you are in the middle of the Amazon or something then there's no excuse.

    Bath-towels and hair-towels, I wash every use.

I wash bath mats and hand towels maybe twice a week.

Probably dozens of times tbh. It smells absolutely fine,my body is smelling nice when im using the towel... so dont see the need to wash it very often

How dirty are you when drying yourself off?

If you haven't showered in two weeks the towel is not the main issue.

Use them two or three times for drying the hair and body. Then give it a final ‘run out’ by using it to dry the cock, balls, and that bit between your cluster and nipsy. Use the classic seesaw manoeuvre.

I'd say around a hundred million times. Be grand.

Ah yes, I love when there’s a towel ripe for washing that you can use for the dirtier jobs. Ahem, the stuff you just mentioned but also like if you spill a big drink on the ground or something. Get the towel that you know needs to be washed anyway to soak up the bulk before getting the mop out.

Interesting fact, when you whip a towel supposedly it break's the sound barrier...

Remember those days, when someone called Jason would corner you in the changing rooms, then whop you goodo with his impersonation of Indiana Jones...

Then you'd go home and do it to your brother....

T'was a sore dose getting whipped by a towel.

The trick was to wet a corner of it..

Dangerous stuff, could cause serious damage.

Genuinely curious as to the logic behind this? Your hand towel is getting a lot more use than your hair one, presumably?

Fresh towel for every shower. I know the old ones are probably perfectly clean but I just can’t reuse

I'm a girl, half my hair falls out every time I have a shower, I don't want to dry my hair the next time with a hairy towel! :D Plus of course residue from hair dye, conditioner etc ends up on the towel.

Same, and my hair comes out in clumps, but I can't say it ever really ends up in the towel. The hair trap I have in the drain and the hairbrush when I comb it out are the fun parts.

Conditioner I have to rinse til literally not an iota remains or I get build-up, so that's not an issue for me.

To be honest, swapping towels is the least of our concerns.:o
