I am looking at buying my first new car (maybe my first mistake..) after saving everything over the years to put a roof over the families head. Thinking about a Peugeot 3008 GT line 1.2 PureTech 130bhp 8-Speed Automatic and would be extremely grateful for any advice on good Peugeot dealerships in Dublin and what I should be considering for resale in the future etc. Many thanks.

I’ve ordered the exact same car. It’s due in any day now. I’ve had a good experience to date with Windsor in Clonee. I didn’t really shop around though and primarily went to them because they’re closest to me and I felt they gave me a good deal. I added an electric tailgate and leather seats to the car also. I think overall the GT Line petrol is a great option. Lots of spec as standard and there’s obviously a much higher demand now for petrol cars which should be good for resale value.

Many thanks Pedro! Yes, the spec is very high as is the price! Beautiful car though. I am a little concerned that the EAT8 (Efficient Automatic Transmission 8) is really too new to decide on but I know I want the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine which is likely going to be better for resale, as you said.

I was quoted €37220 ex works. The only works I would get would likely be metallic paint. I would love to hear how your new 3008 is going! All the best.

Best of luck, We've the GT 1.2 since this time last year, been rock solid, only regret we didnt go for the Auto, due for its first service this month we're low mileage drivers 13.5k on clock

I've recently collected a 1.2 petrol manual GT Line and I was wondering if anybody had an idea on how to turn off the wing mirrors facing down when you put her into reverse?

I find it very annoying and also the fact that I can't get the standard view on the reverse camera to set as the default option.

Try moving the selector for adjusting the wing mirrors manually left or right, should should potentially cancel it.

You can turn off that feature in the vehicle settings menu.

Family member just got a cracking deal from bluebell. Was trading in and was offered a deal considerably better than anyone else. Said the salesman was a great guy.

    Thank you!

I found it under the comfort section which I assumed was to do with the air fresheners.

Just ordered the 1.2 GT line auto, metallic, satnav, electric tailgate and grip control.

Got the satnav because i think otherwise the HUD is pointless (just spinning dials, fun but pointless) and the centre console is overworked. Got grip control for the 3 days a year when we get snowed in (worth it for €300) and the electric tailgate just because its cool. Can't wait.

I'd recommend Windsor Clonee or J&P in Cork.

How quick is it generally to go from point of ordering to receiving a new 3008? Just curious as I'm hoping to do a deal on a Allure 1.2 petrol auto this weekend, it will be my 1st new car so eager to get my hands on it.

Are you looking to order one, or just buy a model off the floor? As that'll have a big impact on the lead time. If there's certain options you're looking for it'll have to be ordered, but depending on the dealer they may have a couple of preconfigured models ready to go.

Thanks for the reply. I will likely have to order, if they have 1 close to the spec I want then great but ideally hoping for the Allure 1.2 petrol auto with some options.. metallic paint, black roof, focal speaker system and possibly sat nav.

It's not very new. This is aisin awf8t350 and Aisin has been making 8 speed based on that design since 2013...

Not likely that your configuration is sitting in a dealership in Ireland. I was told 10-12 weeks for my spec; I'm happy to wait for a 192 so suits me fine.

    Here's a link the the 8 speed Automatic (AWF8F35)

That wiki page shows a good list of manufactures using that transmission.
